Rising Dragon

The energy of “Qi” coming from the abyss of the universe falls on the ground through a prism called the moon. It emits a quiet light like a dragon’s crystal ball, and its energy fills our hearts.

Tarot

“In the majestic ensemble of creation, there is nothing that moves me so deeply, that caresses my spirit and gives my fantasy unusual flight like the peaceful and faint light of the moon.” Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer (1836-1870) Spanish poet and storyteller.

THE CARD OF THE MOON IN THE TAROT

The Moon represents the subconscious, the realm of dreams, fears, memories, all thoughts not connected with the here and now. It encompasses the hopes and fears of the future and the memory of things that have already happened.

Psychologists call the subconscious the dark side, because it contains hidden feelings and emotions that, it seems, irrationally influence our behavior.

Moon & Rene Magritte

When I was young I loved Rene Magritte.
And in class, I showed and introduced his works to the students.
His surreal expressions and concepts influenced me.
How does Rene Magritte’s moon settle in his thoughts?

Maya Moon Goddess

The Moon had always played an important role in the ancient Maya mythology, to such a degree that they created a famous lunar calendar from its observation. In Maya civilization the Moon was also identified with the goddess Ixchel. She is associated with sexuality and creation of life. The Mayas traditionally believed that the sacred Moon was female and the Moon’s phases resemble the stages of a woman’s life.

Maya Moon goddess has great influence and she sees everything. Her necklace consists of several cycles of the Moon due to the fact that these cycles determine the times of planting and harvest. The headwear and necklace are decorated with gold and tree leaves which attributes to the creation of precious life and fertility. She is the Moon, she is life.

Walking On The Moon

I have always been fascinated with how the moon reflects the light of the sun, resulting in a wondrous alien marker in the night sky. When I look up, my mind is often filled with thoughts of those who have walked on the moon; what it must be like stepping into the complete unknown. The closest

relationship I can make here on Earth is venturing out into the city after an evening’s snowfall. I love how familiar surroundings are viewed anew through the blanket of sameness. It too feels foreign and otherworldly in its warming glow.

Moonlight Camp Fire

The hypnotic and timeless fascinating activity of watching camp fires with my friends and family members during many summer camping nights with the moon shining brightly always brings me back fond memories of my childhood days of being quite

fearful of creatures stirring during the night with scary stories being told as the night sky slowly become darker, and as the fire rages on and becoming brighter and louder; making monstrous yet reassuring snapping sounds to make myself feel safe and warm.

This illustration tries to interpret this fascinating timeless popular summer night activity envisioning from both a child-like and also an adult’s point-of-view integrated together in one image.

Blue Moon, I Saw Me Standing Alone (version 11)
When I would take long walks alone at night especially as the moon rises and shines during any of the four seasons in Toronto in Canada, and in particular, during the beautiful colorful autumn season, many strong emotions take over my soul and comes to life in cinematic spiritual ways. These strong emotions comes to life as integrated imagery from my imagination of what I see and feel at the same time

in the form of sounds of a combination of sad music, autumn wind and images around me of magical autumn season colors from the beautiful trees all around me that are heart wrenchingly sad, and yet the moonlight casts light on anything the eye can see and this energizes and inspires me to see, understand and appreciate that beauty at night and within the darkness exists in everything in the world around me.
My illustration created for this

great project tries to capture the light caused by the beautiful shining moon to help myself to see and appreciate and understand that beauty exists within the darkness always with feeling and meaning by integrating interwoven line work, symbolic shapes, and of course, colors, and as drawn objects and scenes from life and memory with transformation and imagination in mind and in action to tell my story visually in a memorable and compelling way.

In the time of the pandemic and treating or confronting Corona, the whole world is making an effort and dreaming to get rid of this epidemic and to live in peace and good health, so the designer used and summoned some symbols that express the topic, such as the dove of peace that carries the olive branch and

human faces, expressing humanity everywhere, dreaming of it and wishing it. That peace and health prevail in all parts or countries of the world, using the tools of digital art and contemporary graphic processors provided by the means and media of communication in the media age.

TUĞRUL BIRD (Anka, Simurg, Phoenix, Tanniao, Homa, Rokh)

This mythological bird is referred to as “Tuğrul” in Turkish Mythology. It represents power, purity, virtue, loyalty, elegance, and fairness. Tuğrul is a universal mythological bird that is present in many cultures. Under the leadership of the Hüthüt bird, all the birds go in search of the

Tuğrul Bird. Tuğrul is on a great mountain. Not all birds can reach this mountain. Only 30 birds can get there and when they do they see that there is no one but themselves. This is the understanding of “Single Entity” in Sufism. So: “The true journey is the journey you make to yourself.”

the solar and moon terms

In traditional Chinese culture, sun represent Yang and moon represent Yin, it symbolise a integrated body with two sides. Such belief penetrates into the nature of everything, which also penetrates into the main idea of my illustrations.

No matter in day and night or seasons, moon plays an irreplaceable role. Its colour may vary under different conditions, whereas the inherent gravity has attract our association from ancient times to the present, its luminosity reflects the dreamland of everybody.

The story of Hakuto Kaigan, Okuninushi no Mikoto and the rabbit. This story also showed that the rabbit had some magical abilities. And The moon-viewing festivals in mid-autumn are held then because the moon is thought to be most beautiful at that time in Japan.

Many people relate the full moon to the rabbit. Because we saw a rabbit in the shape of the shadows of the craters on the moon.
